Conference Venue

The conference ICWANA 2024 will be held at The Tide Resort, located on the famous Bangsaen Beach in Cholburi province. Chonburi is a province set on Thailand’s east gulf. The coastline of Cholburi is lined with popular beaches, where among them are Bangsaen and Pattaya. There are several long-standing resort towns with seafront promenades, restaurants, and shopping malls. There are also interesting nightlife places including walking streets and cabaret bars.

Travel information

1. By Car:

  • Distance: Approximately 90 kilometers (56 miles).
  • Time: 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
  • Route: Take Route 7 (Bangkok-Chonburi Highway) and continue onto Route 344. Follow signs to Bang Saen.

2. By Bus:

  • Bus Terminals in Bangkok:
    • Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai)
    • Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit)
  • Bus Companies: Several companies operate buses to Chonburi. Choose a bus heading to Chonburi Bus Terminal.

3. By Train:

  • Train Stations in Bangkok:
    • Hua Lamphong Railway Station
  • Train Route: Take a train from Bangkok to Chonburi Railway Station.
  • Note: There is no direct train to Bang Saen. From Chonburi, you can use local transportation.

4. By Minivan:

  • Minivan Stations: Minivans operate from Bangkok to Chonburi.
  • Destination: Alight at Chonburi and then use local transportation to Bang Saen.

5. Local Transportation from Chonburi to Bang Saen:

  • Songthaews (Shared Trucks): Available at Chonburi Bus Terminal. They will take you to Bang Saen.
  • Taxis and Tuk-tuks: Readily available for more convenience.

6. Accommodation in Bang Saen:

  • Hotels and Resorts: Book accommodation in advance, considering your budget and preferences.
  • Popular Areas: Choose accommodation near Bang Saen Beach for easy access.
